About Tomoko
Tomoko is a natural-born empath and energy worker. She is also a musician with over 30 years of experience. Throughout her musical career, she has learned to listen to and interpret dynamic human experiences encapsulated in music by various composers from different periods. From her extensive studies in music, she understands that while our human experiences are somewhat universal, they can be expressed or hindered in myriad ways due to circumstances and personalities.
She expresses emotions such as happiness, grief, anger, despair, excitement, and joy that arise from human experiences through her piano performance, improvisation, singing, and compositions.
In the realm of healing, she has been training in Jikiden-Reiki and her Japanese spiritual practice, serving clients in Japan, Europe and the United States for over 15 years.
Since 2022, after completing her PhD in Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology at University of California, Irvine, she has been utilizing sound frequencies in her healing practice, which has also inspired her to incorporate sound healing elements into her creative works.
For her, Biofield Tuning is a marriage of two of her expertise—music and healing. It is where her exceptional auditory skills and intuition shine. In her work, intuition plays a major role, as her energy flow is immediate and on target, allowing her to identify what is needed and how to navigate. Additionally, her finely-tuned hearing ability, honed through over three decades of musical training enables her to decipher a broad range of sound frequencies and interpret their messages.

Tomoko is a graduate of Berklee College of Music where she studied jazz and contemporary composition. She holds a M.M. in Modern American Music (Piano Performance) from Longy School of Music, and a Phd in Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Composition from the University of California. She is a certified Jikiden Reiki Shihan-kaku and a certified Advanced Biofield Tuning practitioner.
