The Nine Energy Centers: How You Receive and How You Project

In Biofield Tuning, we assess nine energy centers — root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, crown, knees, and ankles. Each one is linked to a set of themes, body parts, and common challenges that show up when it's out of balance.

Think of each center as a two-way antenna. It receives energy, and it projects energy. Each one sits in a related part of the body, tied to specific organs and systems.

When an energy center is healthy, energy flows in and out in balance. You feel light, clear, calm, secure, motivated, ready.

When an energy center is imbalanced, you often notice symptoms with no name for them. Feeling dragged. Chronically fatigued. Pressured. Stuck. Difficulty letting go of a situation or a person. Being too critical — of others, or of yourself. Questioning your own worth. Fearful of consequences. Trouble making decisions or taking action. Unable to speak up.

From Biofield Tuning perspective, they map to specific centers, specific themes, specific parts of the body.

Front and Back: Two Sides of the Same Center

Each energy center also has a front and a back.

  • The back is where you receive — incoming energy.

  • The front is where you project — outgoing energy.

In a healthy state, giving and receiving stay in balance. When that balance tips, you feel it. Too much giving, without enough receiving or replenishing, exhausts you. And if something is blocking your ability to receive — a belief, a stress pattern, a past trauma — that same block can show up as difficulty in how you express yourself outward.

Some of the imbalanced states we commonly see in sessions are:

  • Lack of support from others

  • Speaking but not being heard, or not speaking your truth at all

  • Frustration from not doing, or frustration from overdoing and overthinking

  • Feeling held back, or blocked from moving forward

  • Feeling stuck in a toxic situation, or uncertain about the next step

Underneath these is almost always a belief — your own, or one you picked up somewhere along the way — or a past experience still holding its shape in the body.

Chakra Tune-Up

This is exactly where the 20-minute Chakra Tune-Up comes in.

In a session, we go straight to the center that's asking for attention right now. If you already have a strong sense of which one it is, we start there. If not, we let the pendulum point the way.

If something feels off — dragged, stuck, too quiet, too depleted — that's worth a closer look.
